John Landis Grove (January 26, 1921 – June 16, 2003) was an American inventor, industrialist and philanthropist.[1] He became known, primarily, for developing the hydraulic crane and access lift industries.[2][3][4]

Described as "the Babe Ruth of his industry," Grove was quoted as saying, "Don't allow wealth to stop your caring for others."[5]
